Season 3 Is Here! — RareCandy3D Update May 9th, 2021
Season 3 Is Live! Everything you need to know about RareCandy3D wrapped up in a post!
🔫Sub-machine-gun-speed-wrapper: Season 2 concluded in parallel to April with a code-art album by Warsaw-based indie game dev Michal “Rostok” Roctoski, entitled “Soon” (RC3-B7). If there would be some key things that marks the end of S2, while signaling the beggining of a renewed RareCandy3D season, that would be:
- UNLOCKABLE files are now a thing!
- A Holographic Authentication Sticker watermarks every single following NFT cover
- The net-first NCO (NFT Coin Offering) is live!
- We are pimping up our visual aesthetic by holding hands with a french product design studio and an Argentinian illustrator, namely Studio 530 Degrees, and Fabricio Orellano.
- First physical releases are scheduled for publication. We’re kicking it with the first ever release from Ethereal Audio, a future-proof record label powered by Ethereum, and distributed by RareCandy3D.
- We moved to a new Cryptovoxels parcel, at 9 Hook Street, owned by early RareCandy3D collector and supporter Bullauge.
- Native vesting distribution smart-contracts with claimable functions for NFT Investment Slot holders are sharp and ready to be deployed!
Unlockable Nifties Are Now Casualty At RC3
Although the concept of locking up digital assets, and/or access points inside ERC-721 contracts is not a novelty, we’ve internally aiming to include unlockables more often, in order to provide collectors with an extra something for their support. Even the least eligible releases (eg. digital art only) will now carry unlockable access to high-fidelity assets represented by the respective NFT. 🔓
Considering our infrastructure relies upon providers such as Mintbase, and Arweave, there’s a barrier as to what we could tokenize on the front-line of the NFT cover. Yet, UNLOCKABLE files empower us to enhance the collector’s experience by providing additional D/L links to HQ material, otherwise impossible to tokenize due to current industry file-size limitations.
Our NCO NFT Investment Slots also leverage unlockable functions to deliver ERC-20 tokens to our investors, effectively acting as pseudonymous investment vehicles, similar to bearer bonds. More on that below.
Holographic Authentication Stickers
One issue we were tackling with for the last months revolved around creating a visualy distinctive way that would make RC3 releases stand out from the mass, even if they were completely different in terms of aesthetic and nature of asset (physical/digital).
Some of the team members came up with a border/frame that could set each NFT appart from the sea of nifties that the industry has grew to become. After a series of brainstormings and trials with various designs, we concluded to these awesome holographic authentication stickers, originally designed by Studio 530 in France. In addition, all our new article banners and designs are handled by Argentianian artist and illustrator Fabricio Orrelano. Check more of his work here.
The Net-First NCO (NFT Coin Offering) Is Live!
An NCO is essentially a decentralized, automated manner of fundraising by virtue of NFTs. Not only it (NCO) offers the most straightforward process for a token sale, but it naturally cherry-picks its investing crowd filtered against their relevance to the NFT scene.
In contrast to traditional equity offering models, decentralization is manifested in an NCO, as NFTs empower unconditional participation in the sale, meaning that crypto native investors don’t have to be obliged by legal agreements, or trust the issuer project, and/or other third-parties involved in the token sale. In an NCO, the smart contract itself ensures that the owner of the NFT Investment Slot is the sole eligible claimant of a pre-allocated set of tokens. *in our case $RCDY as found in the encrypted NFT vehicle. 🎫

Are You Ready For The First RC3 Physical Drops!? 😲
Our first physical release is scheduled for Thursday 13th of May, 2021, and we can already spoil that it’s going to be a single edition 12" inch vinyl record, published by Ethereal Audio International, and distributed via RareCandy3D.
Snippets and more info will be available through the EAI official website. The album entitled “susbstantiallove.sol” is a blockchain-themed 5 tracker EP by Thessaloniki based artist Universal Block Act that comes in both physical and digital format.
Coming up next, you should expect a plethora of releases from the EAI record label, a series of limited edition physical werables created by Project Symposium for RareCandy3D, while more physical partnerships are being developed with Hackney Clothing, and Balex Sneakers.
Expanding Further Into The Metaverse
As you already know, our old parcel by the seaside is now bought and transformed to a private villa, utilizing a combination of parcels in the area. Thankfully, Sven, known as Bullauge in the web3 scene, one of the early adopters of Cryptovoxels and RareCandy3D supporter was kind enough to offer us a space in the heart of Gangna, to host our new VR headquarters — this time with a lounge/bar space, where you should expect some gatherings, live events, and club nights.
